1. Why should I work with a travel advisor instead of booking online?
Planning a vacation can involve a lot more than simply making a reservation. I take the time to understand what you’re looking for, research and compare the options, and help you make confident decisions about your trip. You’ll also have someone to turn to when questions, changes or unexpected situations come up along the way.
2. How much does it cost to work with you?
My planning services are complimentary for most vacations. For certain complex or highly customized itineraries, a planning fee may apply. If your trip requires one, I’ll always discuss it with you before we begin.
3. How can your planning services be complimentary?
Travel advisors are typically compensated by the cruise lines, resorts, hotels and other travel suppliers we work with. This allows me to provide planning and booking assistance for most vacations without charging you an additional planning fee.
4. What types of vacations do you plan?
I plan a wide variety of vacations, including ocean and river cruises, all inclusive resorts, Alaska, Europe, honeymoons, family vacations, group travel and custom itineraries. Have something different in mind? Reach out! I’m always happy to hear what you’re dreaming about and see how I can help.
5. What does the planning process look like?
It starts with getting to know you and the trip you’re envisioning. We’ll talk about your travel style, priorities, budget and what matters most to you. From there, I’ll research the options and make recommendations based on what I think will be the best fit. Once we’ve found the right trip, I’ll help with the booking and details and continue to be available as your vacation approaches.
6. Can you get me better pricing than I can find online?
Sometimes I have access to promotions, amenities or options worth considering, but finding the lowest price isn’t my only goal. I want to help you find the best overall fit and value for your vacation. I’ll compare the available options while also considering the details that can make one choice better for you than another.
7. Do you work with specific budgets?
Absolutely. Budget is an important part of planning, and being open about what you’re comfortable spending helps me focus my research on options that make sense for you. My goal is to help you make the most of your vacation budget while finding a trip you’ll be excited about.
8. Do you only work with clients in Huntsville?
Not at all! Rocket City Travel Company is based in Huntsville, Alabama, but I work with travelers across the United States. Most of the planning process can easily be handled by phone, email and text, so we can work together no matter where you live.
9. What happens if I need help after my vacation is booked?
I’m still here! My support doesn’t end once your trip is booked. I’m available to answer questions, help with changes and assist with details as your vacation approaches. If something unexpected comes up while you’re traveling, you’ll also have someone you know to reach out to for guidance.
10. How do I get started?
